Well a decision had to be made and I made one. I had originally thought that airfares might straighten out the closer we got to my departure date, but they did not. I still do not understand why a one-way economy ticket cost so much more than a multi-city round trip? But that is what I bought. For $400 dollars more than a one-way economy ticket, I bought a round trip ticket going over 1st class and home from a different city economy. Go figure.
So now I am ready to go. I will be in Berlin at my new favorite hotel, the Berlin Eurostars, for 5 nights. Then I take the train to beloved Weimar for 2 months. I will decide what to do in September during that time. I do plan on making a few 3/4 night trips during those 2 months but I will write about them when they happen.
